Joseph was from Beausejour in Acadia, Nova Scotia. Joseph Girouard’s family had been deported to Quebec City during the Great Deportation of the Acadians in 1755. Joseph was Marie-Anne’s first husband and lived in Les Eboulements. Henri stated that she had lost three children by drowning.  After Joseph died, she remarried Louis-Roch-Augustin Tremblay from Les Eboulements.1723

Louis first wife was Ursule Constance Simard of Les Eboulements, Quebec. After Joseph Girouard died, Marie-Anne-Josette Desmouliers married Louis-Roch-Augustin Tremblay from Les Eboulements. Louis was Marie-Anne-Josette’s second husband.1723 Augustin Tremblay and 4 others lived in Les Eboulement on the 1831 census. 1723 Augustin was not related to either, but was present at the marriage of Jean Mackay and Archange Martel.1723
