She was Jean’s second wife, marrying 21 September 1903. On 5 January 1912 L. MaKay of Ville-Émard, Montreal sent a New Year’s card to Louise Lapointe saying that all are in good health, including Purissima, and signed it from your brother and sister in law. On 25 August 1913 Maria’s letter to Louise Lapointe said “Celie is always good and the young garcons are well. We are all well. Purissima is always at the convent and doesn’t have time to write. She will write you on her day off-New Year’s Day. We have received a letter from chez Milia-they are all well, as well as from chez Mme. Bolduc. We have not received news from M. Tromblay for a long time.” 557 On 21 September 1913 Maria sent a letter from 166 Beaulieu, Ville Emard, Montreal, Quebec to her sister-in-law Louise Lapointe. She indicated that she and Jean and Purissima were well. Jean works and Purissima is not living at home. . Mme. Tramblay says they will come to visit. I think she will change her mind. Alesencina is better. We have received a letter from Milio. They are well. Alesencina will go to Chicoutimi. Her daughter is not well. Inda Tramblay’s address is 3120 West 38th Street, Chicago, Illinois.557 On 27 March 1918 she wrote a postcard to her sister-in-law, Louise Lapointe at Box 7, Bayfield, Wisconsin from Ville-Émard . She signed it “your brother and sister in law, Jean & Maria”. On 25 August 1918 she writes “Purissimo has started her studies to be a nurse and she loves it.” On 31 December 1920 she sent a New Years card from Ville-Émard, signed just “your sister in law Maria”.

At his baptism his name was recorded as Jean McKane. Jacques Bolduc was his godfather. 549 He had two daughters. Vivian West said that he was widowed at a young age and lived in Montreal, Canada.
On the 1861 Census of Chicoutimi Louis McKee lived with Delle Bergeron, Clementine McKee, Marie McKee, Caelina McKee, John McKee and Victorine McKee. 2537
In 1879, the pioneer gave his land to his son Jean, born in 1857 in Saint-Fulgence being the only boy in a family of six children.1843
On the 16 April 1891 census he was John Mackay, 36, single and worked as a farm laborer at Laprairie. 577
On 13 February 1899 he married Rose-Anna Payant at Laprairie. 549
On the 1901 census he was Jean McKay and lived in Saint-Isadore with his wife and daughter Purissima, 3 months old. 550
His first wife Rose Anna had died by 21 September 1903 when he married Maria St. Pierre.549
On the 1911 census he is Jhonny Mackay, born in May 1857 and lives Montreal with his second wife Maria and daughter Patricina. 551
In January 1912 he wrote a postcard to his sister Louise, from Montreal, Canada.
On 14 July 1913 he wrote aanother postcard to Louise from Ville Emard, Montreal, Canada.
On 25 August 1918 Maria writes “Johnny is well and works always. Purissimo has started her studies to be a nurse and she loves it.”
Johnny died in 1919 at age 61.2118
