Elizabeth "Grandma Tiny" Cadotte, age 92, of Red Cliff, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015 at her home. She was born on Feb. 7, 1922 in Hayward, the daughter of Michael and Josephine Bresette. Elizabeth worked at All-Woods in Bayfield for many years before beginning work at the Bayfield High School under the Urban Rural Program. She later worked as a CNA at Northern Lights Health Care Center in Washburn for a few years. She then started working as a foster grandparent for the Red Cliff Early Childhood Center and worked there for over 30 years. She was a devout catholic and member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Red Cliff. She enjoyed beading as a hobby.
She is survived by five children, Karen Bohlen of Sussex, Patty Wygonik of Red Cliff, Colleen Buffalo of Red Cliff, Jerry Babineau of Milwaukee and Francis Cadotte of Red Cliff; nine grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Francis P. Cadotte; a son, Doug Babineau; and her brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Red Cliff with Fr. Kevin Gordon officiating. Spring burial will take place in the St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., Sunday, at the Red Cliff Elderly Center with a 7 p.m. prayer service. The Bratley Funeral Home in Washburn is handling the arrangements.
