He took part in Shay’s Rebellion of 1786-7. 759 He was on the 1802 Voters List in Amherst. 758 759He was from Amherst, coming to Hawley in 1809.761 They settled in Hawley, Massachusetts.607 In the 1810 census he is found in Hawley with one boy 16-26, one girl 10-16 , and one boy under age 10. He was found in the 1850 census in Hawley living with his daughter and son-in-law, a widower.761 He died aged 81. 455
