Bayfield County Press 22 April 1982 “Services were held March 26th in Gresham, Ore., for Everett Lee Mills, 72, who died March 21st. Born March 1, 1910 in Bayfield, he married Anne Corradi in 1941. He was a school superintendent. Survivors include his wife Anne; one daughter Shirley Hanken, Portland; one brother, Rev. Donald Mills, retired, Ophir, Utah; one sister, Fern Sweeney, Kirkland, WN; [sic] and two grandchildren. Burial was at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland. The Mills family lived on Star Route in Bayfield neighbors to the Milligans, and the children, though older, were playmates of the Milligan children

They were former neighbors on Star Route and the Mills and Milligan children were good friends. He was the son of Otis and Edna Mills. Survivors include his wife Ann, one daughter, one brother, Rev. Don Mills, retired, and a sister, Mrs. Fern Sweeney of Kirland [sic] Wa.”718
