Anna Katherine Stolls was born in Kassel, Regierungsbezirke of Hesse, Germany, in September 1843, and emigrated to the United States with her parents in 1844. 1119 In 1895 Louis Luick lived in the Village of Bayfield, Wisconsin. His household consisted of 3 males and 3 females, 4 born in America and 2 in Germany .2437 On 19 April 1910 Katherine Luick, 66, lived on 7th Street in Bayfield, Wisconsin, with her husband of 49 years, Louis Luick, 66. No children lived with them. Katherine had borne 4 children, with 3 still alive in 1910.2435 On 16 January 1920 Anna K. Luick, a 76 year old widow lived with her son in law, John Baker, 60, and daughter Rosa B. Baker, 56, in a rented house on Broad Street in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Anna K. had immigrated in 1844 and become a naturalized citizen in 1855. 2436 Katherine died in 1928 at age 84. 384

Ludw. Luick, a single 29 year old farmer from Walddorf, District of Calw, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, left Hamburg, Germany by himself on the 298 foot Steamer Bavaria of the Hamburg-American Line on 15 March 1860, and following a stop in Southampton, England, arrived in New York City on 2 April 1860.2465 2510.2434 However, Lewis Luick stated on the 1900 US Census that he was born in February 1829 in Württemberg, Germany---he emigrated to the United States in 1856 at age 27 and later became a naturalized citizen1119 but on the 14 July 1860 US Census Lewis Lewick, a 28 year old unmarried farmer lived in the 4th Ward of Cleveland, Ohio. He had no real estate and a personal estate of $25. 2424 In 1862 he married Anna C. age 19, in Ohio. 1119 On 25 July 1870, Lewis Luick, a 39 year old farmer born in Württemberg, Germany lived on a farm he owned worth $1500 in Bowling Green, Ohio. He lived with Anna C. Luick, 28, Rosa, 6, Manuel, 3, and an unnamed 6 month old boy . 2420 On 17 June 1880 Luis [sic] Luick, a 49 year old farmer born in Württemberg, Germany had moved since 1870 and now lived in Jackson, Wood County, Ohio. He lived with Catherin [sic], 36, Rosa, 16, Emanuel, 13, George J., 10 and Jacob, 6.2421 Lewis Luick and his family probably moved to Bayfield, Wisconsin sometime after their granddaughter, Emma K. Hahm was born in Ohio in January 1887. 1119 In 1895 Louis Luick lived in the Village of Bayfield, Wisconsin. His household consisted of 3 males and 3 females, 4 born in America and 2 in Germany .2437On 1 June 1900 Lewis, a 71 year old retired carpenter lived on 7th Street in Bayfield, Wisconsin next door to the home of his son Justice Luick. He lived with his wife of 38 years, Ana K. [sic] Luick, age 56, who had emigrated from Germany with her parents in 1844 at age 1. Also living with them were their divorced daughter, Rosa Hahm, 36 and their granddaughter Emma K. Hahm, 13. Sons Emanuel, George J. , and Jacob had left the family home. Lewis and Anna had 3 children, all of whom were still alive on 1 June 1900.1119 On 19 April 1910 Louis Luick, 79, lived in a house they rented on 7th Street in Bayfield, Wisconsin, with his wife of 49 years, Katherine Luick, 66. Rosa had left and no others lived with them. 2435 John Louis Luick died on 17 May 1917 at age 86. 384
