Notes for Winifred May VOROUS
Miss Winifred May Vorous passed away at her home in Fish Creek, Wis., April 25th, 1916. of tuberculosis, she being the oldest daughter of the late Capt. and Mrs. Jos.Vorous.
It is with sorrow that we are again called upon to report the departure of a beloved friend. While yet enjoying the comforts of a happy home with one sister and two twin brothers, who were the love of her heart. Miss Winifred was acquainted all thru the northern section of the county and had a large
circle of friends, who will miss her bright smile and kindly ways.
It is sad to mention how this family has been broken up. Her father, Capt. Joseph Vorous, was drowned on the steamer Erie L. Hackley Oct. 3,1903: her mother passed away the 8th of last May—and now the daughter to follow.
Miss Winifred leaves to mourn her loss besides a host of friends, a sister, Gertrude, and twin brothers,Wallace and Wesley Vorous and one uncle, Milton Hansen.
The funeral services were held from the Adventist church, Friday p.m. the Rev. Mason conducting the services, which were short, simple and impressive. The pall bearers, young men about the age of the deceased, were followed by six flower girls. The remains were laid at rest in the cemetery at Blossomborg.
Those of the near relatives who were at her bedside were Mrs. Clarence LaPeer, Mrs. Levi Vorous and Wilfred Vorous."
