He came to Northfield about 1796, his whole fortune being the horse he rode, and his kit of mason's tools, in a bag. He was a brick mason. ®214 Isaiah Moody’s family in 1800 consisted of himself, age 26-45, his wife age 15-26, and one boy age 15-26 years of age [census taker error?]. ®410 On 6 August 1810 Isaiah and his wife were both 26 through 44 years of age and lived in Northfield with 3 boys and 2 girls under 10, and 2 boys and 1 girl 16-25 years of age. ®411He was bequeathed two dollars in the will of his father Noah Moody dated 19 Sep 1811. ®423 On 7 August 1820 Isaiah and his wife are both 26 through 45 years of age and live in Northfield with 1 boy and 2 girls under 10, 1 boy and 1 girl 10 to 15, 1 boy 16 to 18, and 3 boys and 1 girl 16 to 25 years old. ®412In 1830 he lived next door to his son Edwin’s family. He and Phila were 40-50 years old, and living with them were one boy and one girl age 10-15, one boy and one girl age 15-20 and one boy and two girls age 20-30. ®278 He died at Northfield, Massachusetts in 1835. ®367 His will was administered on 9 Mar 1835. ®1 “In Memory of Isaiah Moody who died Feb. 20 1835 aged 63 years.” ®212

On 1 June 1840 Phila is a 50-60 year old widow living in Northfield with her son Noah who is 27 and single. ®435 Noah married very shortly thereafter. On the 1850 US census Phila is a widow, age 69 and lives with her son Medad’s family in Northfield, Massachusetts. ®218 On the 1860 US census Phila is 79 and again lived with her son Noah’s family in Greenfield, Massachusetts. ®436 Phila died of old age at age 88 years 8 months and 10 days and was buried with Isaiah in the Old Cemetery in Northfield. ®73. ®214
