He was born in Philadelphia, and when young sailed with his father and brother John, and after settling in the Bahamas, never left the island of San Salvador (later known as Cat Island), Bahamas, where he had a 240 acre plantation on the south end of the island. ®99 He had 2 sons. ®1890, ®99 He died before 1829. ®1890 He was a witness to his brother Joseph’s wedding to Hannah Singletary on 8 Jan 1795 in New Providence, Nassau, Bahamas. He was known as "little Billy” in the family diary of Sarah Eve of Philadelphia ca 1740-1790. ®99
"William Eve
William Eve was born circa 1757 in Philadelphia. It is believed he died in Georgia date unknown. His father was Oswell Eve (1)
He married Mary Clarke of Charleston (in about 1780). They had the following children.
• William (11) - born about 1785.
• Joseph C (12) - born about 1790. He married Jane Ringland on the 26th Jan 1825 in Richmond County, Georgia. ®1856

She was less than 21 years of age and unmarried at time of her father’s will of 7 April 1790. She moved from Cat Island to Nassau with her two sons, Joseph C. and William Oswell, after her husbands death in 1798.
