Notes for Mary CLARK
She was less than 21 years of age and unmarried at time of her father’s will of 7 April 1790. She moved from Cat Island to Nassau with her two sons, Joseph C. and William Oswell, after her husbands death in 1798.

He was born in Philadelphia, and when young sailed with his father and brother John, and after settling in the Bahamas, never left the island of San Salvador , Bahamas, where he had a 240 acre plantation on the south end of the island.148 He had 2 sons. 151,148 He died before 1829. 151 He was a witness to his brother Joseph’s wedding to Hannah Singletary on 8 Jan 1795 in New Providence, Nassau, Bahamas. He was known as "little Billy” in the family diary of Sarah Eve of Philadelphia ca 1740-1790. 148

William Eve was born circa 1757 in Philadelphia. It is believed he died in Georgia date unknown. His father was Oswell Eve
He married Mary Clarke of Charleston . They had the following children.
• William - born about 1785.
• Joseph C - born about 1790. He married Jane Ringland on the 26th Jan 1825 in Richmond County, Georgia. 320
Notes for Miles (Spouse 2)
He was Mary's second husband and a planter and a neighbor on the island of St. Salvador Bahamas. In December 1783, a Miles McInnes put in a memorial claim as a Loyalist referring to his prior residence in North Carolina and his imprisonment in South Carolina and Florida during the Revolution.
