Living with him is Gertrude R., 46, Ottis, 19, Joseph, 13, Martin L., 11, and J. Paul, 4, all born in Ohio. Richard and Alfred had left home. He and Gertrude had been married for 25 years. On the next farm lived a widowed 39 year old Henry Mills, born in Mexico in Mar 1861 whose father had been born in England and mother born in Ohio. Also living with him were his son, Martin, 30, born in Ohio, Martin’s wife Tressie, 27, born in Minnesota, and their son Clyde 1 year and 8 months, born in Wisconsin.690 On 1 April 1930 Alfred is a 76 year old widower living by himself in a house he owns worth $1000 on Old Plank Road in Norwalk Township, Ohio.691
